Disclaimer: biased article written by a small chested c-cup, disregard if you hate bralettes for their lack of support.
Comfortable, breathable, god-given (ok not actually, but might as well be). I love bralettes, and I love no bras at all. In all honesty I actually hate bras, they’re essentially just padlocks for my boobs and I don’t feel free in the slightest. But sometimes you’re expected to cover them up to look “professional”, BS I know. Regardless here’s an article as to why bralettes are almost as great as going bra-less.
They’re super comfortable
Comfortability is the key to my heart, and my boobs. I hate feeling smothered or restricted in my clothing, bralettes do no such thing. They hug and hold without giving any feelings of claustrophobia from unnecessary padding.
They’re all you + sexy for it
Personally, I feel sexier in bralettes than any other bra. Obviously there’s nothing wrong with getting a little help from a friend (bra), but sometimes being 100% your own boobs is liberating– confidence is sexy after all! Small or big, they’re your boobs and they’re amazing as they are, rock them.
They give great cleavage
Surprisingly enough, underwire bralettes give me more cleavage than any super push up bra has ever been able to. I usually feel lost in padded bras while bralettes really hold the gals up nicely.
They can double as a fashion statement
Deep v t-shirts and bralettes are a personal favorite of mine as of late. A great look is high-waisted jeans with a white deep v t-shirt tucked in and a strappy black bralette peaking through. Super chic, super sexy.
Once summertime comes around, padded bras are absolutely out of the question. If there’s one thing I hate it’s hot days and way too much fabric. Bralettes are the best thing– next to going braless of course.
It’s the closest thing to no bra
As much as I love being free as a bird + braless, for some tops and occasions it’s just not appropriate. This is when bralettes save the day– comfortable and light without the nasty glances from people who act like they’ve never seen the outline of a nipple before!
What’s your favorite type of bra, or lack-thereof?
